HISTORY
出雲焼楽山窯の歴史
楽山窯は、初代倉崎権兵衛が1677年に長州から松江に入国をして以来、350年になります。
初代の倉崎権兵衛、2代から4代にわたる加田半六、その後の40年以上にわたる中断を経て、楽山窯5代として不昧公より命を受けた長岡住右衛門貞政に継承します。
その後6代空斎、7代空入、9代空味、10代空処、11代空権につながり、
当代空郷が平成31年3月に、12代住右衛門を襲名いたしました。
また、同年6月に、空和が次代として13代に就きました。

The history of Rakuzan Kiln spans 350 years, beginning in 1677 when the first-generation master, Kurazaki Gonbee, relocated from Chōshū to Matsue.
In March 2019, the current master, Kūkyō, formally assumed the name Jūemon as the twelfth-generation head of the kiln. Later that same year, in June, Kūwa succeeded as the thirteenth generation.
西日本で主要な、規模の大きな陶芸の産地である萩、備前、京都の三所に対して中立的と言いますか、適度な距離を保った場所の山陰中央部に立地したことも作品の多様さの理由の1つと思われます。
そのため、製造の基礎を萩に置きつつも、南蛮等の焼き〆、京焼の持つセンス、色絵の技法等、多彩に楽山窯は備えることができました。
Located in the central San’in region, Rakuzan Kiln developed at a moderate distance from the major ceramic centers of western Japan—Hagi, Bizen, and Kyoto. This position helped shape the diversity of its ceramics.
While grounded in the techniques of Hagi ware, Rakuzan Kiln also incorporated influences such as unglazed, high-fired Nanban-style ceramics, the refined aesthetic sensibility of Kyō ware, and overglaze enamel decoration. These combined elements gave Rakuzan ware its distinctive and varied character.
陶工
1956 松江に生まれる。
1979 早稲田大学法学部卒業。
1987 楽山窯１１代長岡空権の三女と結婚する。
1988 京都陶工訓練校成形科卒業、研修科入学。備前にて陶芸の修行に入る
1995 父空権の下で研鑽に励む。
1999 田部美術館大賞「茶の湯の造形展」入選。
2003 号を空郷とする。
2013 野村美術館にて個展。
2019 日本橋三越本店にて相伝展。住右衛門を襲名
